The TCP/IP protocol in network programming was introduces, the Winsock architecture was also discussed, then the developing process of communication based on Client/Server model under the environment of Visual C++ was described. The experimental result showed that a large file transfer up to 99 MB can be reliably accomplished in 9 seconds
