Study on Intrusion Detection System

The intrusion detection system(IDS)is a new network security technology, which is an activity-based network security system. As the logical supplement of usual passive policy, IDS is the important part of whole security system. In this paper, first review the history and status of IDS, then discuss the future treads in the development of IDS technologies.
